SAMS-NEW on site courses “workshops” program

This program will provide educational opportunities for interested medical students and residents in the Syrian Universities right at home, through direct physical interaction with North American trained Syrian physicians.

Objectives:

1.     Provide the medical students and residents with up to date medical knowledge from experts in various specialties of medicine.

2.     Focus on direct interaction between the students and courses modulators in order to improve communication skills.

3.      Teach clinical approaches to most common clinical scenarios in different specialties.

4.     Emphasize on the importance of evidence based medicine.

Methods:

1.     On site workshops supported with the necessary available audio visual materials to enhance the participation of all students and residents.

2.     Open discussion sessions about current problematic medical scases faced by our Syrian medical students.

3.      Pre-test and post-test evaluations to enhance performance.

Modulators/Presenters:

American trained Syrian physicians.
