Course Schedule

 Course description:

The SAMS-NEW online course will be conducted in collaboration with the teams leading the medical students’ websites at Damascus University (www.hakeem-sy.com) and Al-Baath University (www.plasma-sy.com).

The courses will be delivered by a group of US trained Syrian physicians in different specialties.

The course will be on main emergency related topics.

All lectures will be in case presentation formats not in the form of didactic lectures.

Objectives:

1.    To enhance the basic medical education among medical students and residents.
2.    Emphasize on the most vital and critical medical case scenarios and daily clinical practices.
3.    Offer a good opportunity to explore the recent updates in the medical and surgical fields.
4.    Improve language and communication skills among the medical students and residents.
5.    Expand the knowledge about evidence based medicine and its value in the daily practice.

Sunday: 4:45 PM – 7:15 PM Syrian local time

Feb 28, 2010-May 2, 2010

Total of 10 sessions

Fees:

900 Syrian pound for the entire course

Eligibility:

4^th year medical students and higher.

Total number of attendees is limited to 25 students for each side

Registration: (for medical sutdents in Damascus and Homs)

Deadline is Feb 21, 2010

 Attendee’s responsibilities:

To be qualified for the Certificate

1.     Will be required to attend 80 % of the lectures.

2.      Successfully complete the post test questionnaires.
